Mary Clarke
Mary Clarke is the founder and principal of DXP Consulting.
A genuine desire to make a difference drives her work ethic. And was the motivation for establishing DXP Consulting.
Mary has many years’ experience leading policy, economic analysis and strategic advice across a wide range of sectors and issues. A particular focus over more recent years has been influencing education policy and practice, skilled migration policy, Indigenous success, gender equality and the relevancy of the professions. The thread that ties these altogether is that they access or develop the human capital which, in turn, grows aggregate supply and the economy.
Mary’s immediate past position was as Head Education Policy for CPA Australia, which mixed policy, strategy and operational functions within the role and team. Prior to that she held executive roles in the Victorian public service, worked in the New Zealand public service, and influenced and shaped policy and strategy through consultancy, research and advocacy roles outside of government.
Mary holds an Executive Masters in Public Administration and an Honours degree in Economics.
Mary is a member of the Institute of Public Policy Administration Australia, the Economics Society Australia, the Women in Economics Network, the Accounting and Finance Association of Australia and New Zealand, and is an alumni the Australia and New Zealand School of Government.
Outside of work, Mary is a wife, a mother of three, and grandmother of two. She is a slowing runner, chocoholic, Pokemon GO addict and episodic crocheter.
